It’s finding one that will still exist when the inverter fails in year six. Solar has had more collapses than almost any consumer trade in Australia, and the cheapest quote is very often the one that disappears.
Accreditation is the floor
Clean Energy Council accreditation is what makes a system eligible for the federal rebate at all. We only refer enquiries to accredited installers — that is the minimum, not the selling point.
We tell you when the answer is no
Renting, or outside our network’s area? This form stops and tells you, before you hand over a phone number. A referral we can’t place is worth nothing to anyone.

A real assessment of shading, switchboard and roof condition, then a fixed written price with the rebate already applied.
The rebate
The federal solar rebate shrinks every year until it’s gone.
Small-scale Technology Certificates come off your system price up front. The number a system earns steps down on a published schedule and the scheme ends entirely on 31 December 2030 — so the same system costs a little more each year you wait. That isn’t a sales tactic, it’s legislation, and it’s the only deadline on this page.
Solar
The STC discount is applied to your quote before you pay, and your installer handles the paperwork. Eligibility depends on their accreditation, your equipment and your postcode.
Batteries
The federal battery rebate is separate and tiered by size. An installer can price solar and battery together, or a battery retrofitted to a system you already have.

What does this cost me?
Nothing. We’re paid a referral fee by the installer when we pass on an enquiry. We’d rather say that plainly than have you wonder where the catch is — it does mean you should still compare the quote you get, exactly as you would with any trade.
Who actually gets my details?
A CEC-accredited solar installer who services your postcode. Not a call centre, not a marketing list, and not sold on to unrelated businesses. You can ask us to delete your details at any time via the address on our privacy page.
How many people will ring me?
We refer your enquiry to installers covering your postcode, and you’ll normally hear from one. If you’d rather not be contacted again after that, tell the installer or email us and it stops.
Is my roof even suitable?
Most are. Orientation, pitch, shading and roof condition all matter, and a double-storey tile roof costs more to work on than single-storey Colorbond. A good installer will tell you honestly if it isn’t worth doing.
Will someone knock on my door?
Not from us. We don’t door-knock and we don’t work with companies that do. You’ll get a phone call from the installer, at roughly the time of day you asked for.
